All About Ms. Leahy
My name is Brenda Leahy and I will be teaching 4th grade at Creek View Elementary School this year. This is my fifth year at CVES and I have also taught Pre-K, 1st grade and 2nd grade. Being a life-long learner is very important to me. I have a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an M.S.W. from Boston University and a Masters in Education from NGCSU. However, my most important teachers are the students that I work with every year. They never fail to impress, impact and expand my perspective on life.
On a personal note, I live in Cumming with my husband and two wonderful children. Both of my children love being part of the CVES family. I was born in New England and moved to Georgia in 2006. Although I will always be a Red Sox Fan, I am very happy that Georgia is my new permanent home. I love the warm climate and hospitality here!
Teaching at Creek View is such an honor. As an educator, I am dedicated to helping your children grow, learn and reach for their individual goals. I am one of the luckiest people in the world because I get to live out my passion and dream everyday...by being a teacher! I welcome partnering with my students and parents to ensure that every year is successful and allows for maximum student growth through individualized learning goals, community building and engaging curriculum. I'm so glad that we will be on this journey together!
